Our Engagement photo's - Luna Park

So...Not only have our wedding photos been featured in print and on the Internet, our Engagement photos have also done the rounds. I thought I might share these with my beautiful blog friends! "I swear this will be the last time I blab on about our wedding" LOL.

We had the engagement photo session at "Luna park Sydney" it is a amusement park, similar to Coney Island in New york. One of the main features of the park is this happy (scary) face, this is where you enter the park - through the mouth. I loved the vintage carnival feel and the beautiful bright colours.

We used the above photo for our "Save the date" cards
I made double sided printed card with purple sleeve and save the date magnet.

We used the above photo on a Australia Post stamp for our "Save the Dates"

Fun and Silliness in the crazy mirrors

I love the light in the above picture, I think it looks like a love heart....can you see it?
This was actually a stairwell for the Big dipper archway

Missoni Inspired Print - Part 2

Remember the Missoni inspired pattern that I created last week Here, well here are some pictures of the finished products. One A4 piece of paper did it all! I cut the paper to fill the little love heart picture frame (perspex/ magnetic ones), a bright pink Typo Picture frame and lined the bottom of a Milk Glass ash tray (will be used to hold business cards).

On a side note- I picked up these beautiful staffordshire dogs at an Antique store in Greytown (North Island of New Zealand) when I was there October this year, Greytown is a must if you are in the Wellington Area it is about 1 hour north!. I love my Staffordshire dogs soooo much.... Even if i did look like a crazy person swiftly whipping them off the shelf and paying for them before anyone else I was shopping with had a chance to step foot in the door, they were carefully stored in the overhead locker for the plane ride back to Aus.

Here is the view out of my friends house, a sheep farm in country New Zealand, Not to bad at all!
We were luck when we visited it was lambing season, so of course I had many cuddles with the orphaned lambies - they were quite inquisitive - I think mainly because they were hungry for a bottle of milk.

Eco friendly products and sustainable furniture- Via Eco Chic

I found this amazing online store that stocks environmentally conscious, re-purposed vintage furniture.... best thing is they are based in Australia!

A couple of years ago, we recognised that there were several gaps in the market that no national furniture company was filling, that was there is a demand for eco friendly products and sustainable furniture.

Vintage Tables, Chairs & Lamps- We hunt for funky cast off furniture and homewares online and then lovingly restore them to something beautiful, collectible, and worthy of selling in our vintage furniture section.

Vintage:
$660 here I Imagine these chairs would work amazing on the deck of a beach side holiday home.

Chairs similar to the above for sale on Ebay Here for $200 +

Re-purposed cane bedhead $390

Lamp with shade in beautiful fabric $195

 Sold- $750
This bookcase has already been sold, But thought I would include it anyway as it is so bright and fresh,
Would love to see what it looks like in it's new home.
Note the styled black and white stripe book covering on the bookcase- great idea!

Dining table and chairs $1,600

Eco Friendly:
As i mentioned they also stock Eco Friendly furniture, and it is beautiful! http://www.ecochic.com.au/ . Custom bedheads and lamp shades using amazing fabrics, Hampton's style furniture & Environmentally friendly sofas and armchairs to name a few.

Love this "Emery Sofa" made with Hemp Fabric and on Castor's from $3240

I think it is great that someone has steeped outside the box to supply furniture and housewares to Australia that are environmentally friendly, eco-conscious and fair trade.
