Nate Berkus TV Show {News}

It saddens me that the Nate Berkus TV Show has not been picked up for another season (this season will be the last). "After careful consideration, we have decided that 'The Nate Berkus Show' will not return for a third season in the fall," Harpo Studios and Sony Pictures Television said in a joint statement. "We are grateful for the hard work and heart that Nate, [executive producer] Corin Nelson and their entire team have poured into the show, and we're very proud of what they've delivered." I am sure with Nates impeccable design talent we will still see him just about everywhere (If not more). He has a great style and a LOVE for Mid century furniture and the 'Nate Berkus Show' is haled for lifting the exposure on one of my all time favourite Blogs 'Mr Goodwill hunting'.

Hello Sunshine... {House}

I spent some of the weekend pottering around the house creating beautiful new vignettes with found, thrifted and new bits and peices.

The coffee table got a good work out  with pilfered flowers from the ginormous anniversary bouquet.

Keeping it real for you, I can spot at least 3 dog toys in the photo above.

Friday flowers {The anniversary eddition}

These beauties arrived at work for me the other day!

I can’t believe it has already been two years since I married the love of my life! We are continuing the anniversary celebration with our annual lunch at the place where we married in the Hunter Valley.

Any recommendations of places to visit in the Hunter Valley? Aside from an indulgent chocolate covered strawberry at The Hunter valley Chocolate Company.  

How to paint Chevron Ikat {DIY}

Check out this awesome DIY Ikat painting tutorial Via Make them wonder, (weekend project for me).

All you need is something to paint (canvas, wall or furniture piece), a cheap-o foam brush and some paint.

 Paint the inside of the chevron solid. 

While it's still wet, hold the brush straight up and down then bring it just outside the edge of the painted area.

Clam Shells...{Inspired}

Clam shells are a particularly beautiful carrier for anything! 
One of the things i love most about holidays is combing the beach for treasures, I think it makes for a thoughtful trigger memory. I have been sailing around Fiji for the past two weeks (sorry for the absence) I did however manage to find a clam shell on the beach (how lucky is that).

I am a bit of a clam shell hoarder, You might remember my thrifting haul a while back? where I picked up a beautiful clam shell. I have since filled it with amethyst crystals and placed on our dining room buffet.

  

Pink! - Kips Bay Decorator Show Home

The Kips Bay Decorator Show Home, has been running for 39 Years and always features a fabulous mish mash of bright bold and innovative Interior Design whilst raising money for an excellent charity "Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club". Entrants have closed for 2012 and the event date is set for April 28 - May 26 (If you are in New York).
