Around the house {Installed Birthday presents}

Here is the mammoth size Photograph installed in our lounge room

+ My Birthday present from the Mr {Ceramic Drum Stool}

Yes somebody ME might have asked for "said Stool" in an anonymous (or not so) email link, or excitedly pointed out of the bus window the shop near us that had one in the window, whilst proceeding to tell him the exact price and quantity they had on hand.

+ I Used the birthday money from the In Laws to purchase these flying ducks. Maybe it is a sign of my maturity but both my Mother and Mother In Law have flying ducks around their homes.

+ Hopefully this week I will purchase a new camera with some of the Birthday money from my parents.

Etsy find {Wall Hooks}

The lovely girls at Something Gorgeous asked where I managed to snag my awesome Stag head Wall Hook from in my {recent purchases} post Yesterday, Well - I have to tell you it was a hard task to only purchase one as he was only $16USD + $14USD to ship all the way to Sydney AU!.

Mr Stag himself was purchased through Etsy Store Monkey and Squirrel.

Lounge Room Decor {Recent Purchases}

What a great weekend I hope you had a good one (despite the rain). We have progressed in leaps and bounds with the Lounge room Decor, over the weekend I finalised a few things/ made a few purchases.

Beach Photograph
I purchased this beach photograph about 1 month ago by Rebecca Plotnick, I had it mounted by a local Framing Store it is finished off with a white matt and thin black frame (Photos to follow for sure). I adore this photo so much I cant stop staring at it, I already have a few favourite people in the photograph that I have given names (Truck mudflap girl is most recognisable). The Etsy seller was nice enough to print this in a custom size for me, it is a massive 75x112.5cm.

Flying Ducks

I also purchased a set of flying ducks from Domayne by Robert Gordon Australia (my three beauties are black Glazed).

Wall Hook
I just purchased this wall hook for our entry way (Mr Hubbs is going to get a surprise when this turns up at his work).

PS: How great is shopping online - you can literally Shop around the clock! We have our PC hooked up to our Television, I pull all potential online purchases to full size and see if they work with the room.

PPS: Loony inspiration YUM! this room makes sea grass roman blinds look so Chic!.

Travel {Hunter Valley Weekend}

I have a little birthday coming up this weekend, just a little blip birthday really nothing to fuss about. Last weekend the girls and I headed to our Farm in the Hunter Valley for a little R & R on the third annual "Frolicking in the Vineyards tour". 

The weekend Started with an amazing Lunch at The Veranda Restaurant at Calais Estate Palmers Lane Pokolbin, a lovely Tapas Style restaurant and we managed to eat ourselves silly with:

• Slow roasted Lamb shoulder with Kipfler potato and green olive
• Sydney rock” trio oyster taster plate; tempura with wasabi aioli, Virgin Mary and soy mirin
• Pan seared haloumi with rhubarb, orange and cinnamon compote
• Porcini and wild mushroom arancini
• Thai style blue swimmer crab and prawn cakes with nam jim dipping sauce
• Chicken ballontine of sage and pistachio nuts with glazed eschallot
• Jamon with panko crusted duck egg, truffle oil and pecorino (served with Apera)
• Slow braised Asian style pork belly with celeriac puree  

 Followed by the fluffiest Chocolate Souffle ever for desert (They have 4 different flavours)

After lunch the sunshine was so beautiful so we had a little walk around followed by the obligatory stop at the Hunter Valley Cheese Co to pick up some Branxton Brie. We then headed back to the farm for a dusk walk to see the cows (The farm is an operational black Angus farm).

Dinner was an amazing cheese plate, Sam Sam Cocktails and wine (or bottles of Yum as Ricki likes to say), the cheese plate had every type of cheese you could think of including macerated figs (A must try with any soft cheese if you can find them). My sister bought this cake:

Sunday morning after we headed to Resturant Cuvve at Peterson house for a campaign (Sparkling wine to be politically correct) breakfast:
